I had the honor and privilege to spin for Jeff and Teresa Clark this weekend in beautiful Statesville, North Carolina. This wedding was by far the advanced musically that I’ve ever done. Jeff is also known by his DJ moniker, DJ SupaSkip. I have also known Teresa for years, as she spent some time in Charleston and we have some mutual friends. Needless to say, almost every heavy hitter in the Carolina’s Dj scene was on hand to witness this epic event!
I have played over 250 weddings and I’ve never, and I mean EVER had a playlist like this! Gone were the cliche’ wedding songs of the day and in were the most up to date electronic music artist of now. The prelude and cocktail hour’s music consisted absolutely fantastic indie rock such at Shovels and Rope, The Lumineers and Michael Trent. After that, a very classy and elegant reception’s music consisted of music from today’s most popular EDM artists such as ZHU and Bastille.
The venue was the ever popular Hitching Post in Statesville, NC. This was an amazing venue, with a country setting and a very historic home on many acres. I suggest you check the tagged link on this post for more info about The Hitching Post!
